Ben Meers has stepped aside as executive director of the state Democratic Party after a tumultuous term marked by accusations that he bullied employees and fostered a toxic work environment.
Meers, who had been with the party since 2019, will be replaced on an interim basis by Edgar Pando, who now serves as the party's vice chair.
