Two managed care companies have lost their protests over how the state awarded contracts for its $4 billion Medicaid program known as KanCare.
The state's procurement director on Wednesday notified two unsuccessful bidders - CareSource and Aetna Better Health - that their protests had been turned down and the state will move ahead with the new Medicaid program.
