Former federal prosecutor Tony Mattivi introduced his first broadcast ad in the Republican primary for attorney general, playing up his resume fighting terrorists.

The ad started running on Wichita television this week as he tries to compete with Republican rivals Kris Kobach and Kellie Warren who have already booked or spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on broadcast.

The ad plays up his role prosecuting terrorists, including Abd Al-Rahim Hussain Muhammed Al-Nashiri, who was charged with masterminding the attack that killed 18 on the U.S.S Cole destroyer in 2000.
