Senate President Ty Masterson late Monday night unveiled his committee assignments and announced he was creating a new panel to explore ways to reduce spending and find efficiencies in state government.
Masterson is creating the Committee on Government Efficiency to "explore ways to restructure and reform state government to reduce spending and increase government efficiency."
Masterson compared the committee - called COGE for short - to President-elect Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, known in shorthand as DOGE.
