Masterson says lawmakers shooting for special session in early November

Senate President Ty Masterson said Wednesday that lawmakers are looking toward an early November special session to draw new election boundaries for Congress.

When Masterson was pressed by reporters about how close lawmakers are to calling a special session to address redistricting, he said, "We're in good faith discussing it."

"I think it's just working out the details," he said after the Legislative Coordinating Council ended its meeting Wednesday.

Multiple sources this week said they were told that Masterson is looking at a one-day session for Nov. 7 followed by an adjournment so lawmakers could return on . . .
