Republican state Rep. Megan Lynn announced Tuesday she would not seek a third term representing Olathe in the Kansas House.
Lynn represents House District 49, which was drawn to include Ron Ryckman Jr., who is leaving office after serving three terms as speaker.
Lynn was narrowly re-elected in 2020, defeating Democratic challenger Katie Dixon by 233 votes.
She succeeded Scott Schwab in the Legislature after he was elected secretary of state in 2018.
House District 49 is a little bit redder after the election districts were redrawn.
