State Rep. Rebecca Schmoe of Ottawa lost her partner of 11 years when he passed away over the weekend at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas.
Brent Fredricks, 60, died on Oct. 3. He was remembered as a man of deep faith who was committed to his family and his work as a professional singer whose accomplishments included singing at the Grand Ole Opry twice.
