UPDATED: Lawmakers mourn loss of House chaplain

Kansas House members on Wednesday mourned the death of House chaplain Eunice Brubaker after a struggle with cancer. She was 68.

The House spokesperson on Wednesday confirmed Brubaker's passing. She had been the House chaplain since 2007.  She was the longest serving chaplain in the Kansas House.

"Eunice was a wonderful pastor with a heart for service to the Lord," House Speaker Dan Hawkins said in a statement.

"We were blessed to have her as the chaplain my entire time in the Kansas House. The courage she displayed . . .
