UPDATED: KNEA poll shows governor’s race in a dead heat

Democrat Laura Kelly and Republican Kris Kobach are running in a dead heat in the Kansas governor's race, a new poll done by the Kansas National Education Association shows.

In the first poll of the general election campaign, the telephone survey of 877 likely general election voters showed Kobach at 39 percent, Kelly at 38 percent and independent candidate Greg Orman at 9 percent.
