Gov. Laura Kelly on Monday vetoed a bill allowing parents to remove their children from lessons, classes or activities they think are objectionable.
"Parents and teachers across Kansas want the same thing – for our kids to get the best education possible," Kelly said.
“This bill distracts from that goal, inserting partisan politics into the classroom at the expense of our students, parents, and teachers," Kelly said in a statement.
The bill allows students to be withdrawn . . .
