Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly is hiring a campaign manager who has experience electing Democrats in traditionally red states.
Kelly is turning to Shelbi Dantic, a University of Montana graduate who last year helped a Georgia professor become the only Democrat to flip a red district blue.
Two years ago, Dantic served as deputy campaign manager for Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester of Montana.
Tester was reelected with 50.3% of the vote . . .
