Gov. Laura Kelly on Thursday lived up to her promise to veto the latest bill cutting taxes, reaffirming her commitment to a tax plan that doesn't compromise the state budget and taxpayer services in the years ahead.
While the governor has promised to call a special session to address tax cuts, the governor did not make the dates of the special session known in vetoing the legislation.
Kelly said she expects to announce the dates of a special session next week. The governor said she hoped that a bipartisan tax bill could be approved in less than a day . . .
