Nothing says campaigning like a fundraiser.
So it is that Gov. Laura Kelly has a virtual fundraiser planned for Thursday evening sponsored by an array of lobbyists, businesses and political insiders.
It comes amid speculation about the governor's reelection plans for 2022 after she just named a new lieutenant governor this week.
A copy of the invitation obtained by the Sunflower State Journal shows 55 sponsors spread across three different levels of donations.
The invitation still shows Lynn Rogers as lieutenant governor.
The event comes about two weeks before the governor's year-end campaign finance report is due . . .
