Kansas, Texas partner to share voter data; secretary of state says not same as Crosscheck

Kansas is joining in a data-sharing arrangement with Texas aimed at ensuring that voters are not registered in both states.

Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced that Kansas and Texas will securely share voter registration information to make sure that voters who have relocated are accurately reflected in each state’s voter rolls.

“Maintaining accurate voter rolls is one of the most important responsibilities of the Secretary of State’s office,” said Schwab, a GOP candidate for governor in 2026.
