A Shawnee County district judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a Wichita-area casino alleging breach of contract because of a new state law that authorized historical horse racing machines in Sedgwick County.

Judge Mary Christopher threw out the lawsuit filed by the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane claiming that the new sports-wagering law passed last year violates the state's agreement not to allow new gambling competition until 2032.
