Governor’s reorganization proposals voted down

Gov. Laura Kelly's plan to reorganize the state's energy office and social service agencies were overwhelmingly rejected Wednesday morning in the Kansas House.

The Kansas House voted 82-35 to set aside the governor's plan to bring social services under one roof, unwinding some of the changes made under former Republican Gov. Sam Brownback.

The chamber also turned back the governor's SSJ
