House and Senate negotiators on Monday agreed to a deal that gives cities and school districts one more date for holding a bond election.
A House-Senate conference committee tentatively agreed to a bill restricting bond elections to either a primary or general election or at a special election that would be held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in March.
The new compromise bill would apply to all special elections regardless of their nature and who is holding the election.
