Kansas House Democrats broke their own fundraising record last year but still face a tough battle against the House Republicans who also set a new benchmark for raising funds.
The House Democratic caucus on Monday announced it raised about $306,000, which exceeds anything it raised in more than 20 years during an off-election year.
It was more than any amount raised in an off-election year since at least 2001, the first year when the reports were posted online by the secretary of state.
The Democrats beat their last fundraising record of about SSJ
