House approves bill aimed at fostering business innovation

The Kansas House on Thursday approved a bill intended to create a climate for developing innovative business ideas despite objections from Democrats who said the proposal could put the public at risk.

The House voted 90-28 to approve what is known as a regulatory “sandbox," where particular rules and regulations are relaxed or amended in order to encourage business innovation. It now goes to the Senate.

The goal of regulatory sandboxes is to move innovative products and services . . .
