Democratic state Sen. Cindy Holscher on Thursday became the first candidate for governor to name a running mate, turning to a veteran state lawmaker from Wichita as her choice for lieutenant governor.
Holscher announced Democratic state Rep. KC Ohaebosim of Wichita has her running mate as she seeks the Democratic nomination for governor against her most significant rival, state Sen. Ethan Corson of Fairway.
"I think it's a very exciting time. I think people are going to be very excited about this ticket and what KC brings," Holscher said in an interview.
