Hamilton campaign reports raising more than $2 million for Senate bid

Democratic Methodist Pastor Adam Hamilton's campaign for U.S. Senate reports that it has raised more than $2 million as he builds a campaign that is largely focused more on defeating Republican incumbent Roger Marshall than focused on Democratic primary rivals who have raised far less.

Eleven days ago, Hamilton's campaign reported raising more than $1 million. The fundraising haul for Hamilton isn't terribly surprising for those who have watched him build one of the country's largest Methodist churches into a congregation with about 24,000 members and a yearly budget of $30 million.
