Republucan Johnson County businessman Philip Sarnecki on Thursday night painted a gloomy picture of Kansas, pinning the blame on gubernatorial rival Senate President Ty Masterson and incumbent Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly.
Masterson didn't attend the debate streamed live on WIBW and KWCH television because of a conflict, but Sarnecki made sure to remind the audience that the Senate president was absent from the forum, which also included Secretary of State Scott Schwab and former Johnson County Commissioner Charlotte O'Hara.
