Gov Laura Kelly on Thursday vetoed part of the follow-up budget that included money for the Medicaid inspector general to add staff to conduct Medicaid investigations.
The governor vetoed $350,000 allocated for adding three investigators to the Medicaid inspector general's office, which is overseen by Attorney General Kris Kobach.
It was one of several budget items that she vetoed in the follow-up budget, saying lawmakers are spending more money when they're considering millions in tax . . .
