Governor signs order installing school health protocols

Gov. Laura Kelly on Monday signed an executive order that puts in place a series of health protocols for students, teachers and support staff that's intended to complement her plan to delay the opening of schools until after Labor Day weekend.

The executive order setting in place health mandates will require face coverings, social distancing, daily temperature checks, and cleansing hands with sanitizer at regular intervals. It applies to private and public schools.
