Republican candidates running for state office could be sized up based on how their views compare to the state GOP platform under a proposal party leaders will consider when they meet this weekend.
The Kansas Republican Party State Committee, made up of about 185 party leaders, will consider the resolution submitted by Linda Highland, the wife of Republican state Rep. Ron Highland of Wamego.
The committee, which will meet Saturday in Salina, also will consider another resolution endorsing President Donald Trump's "agenda of exceptionalism."
