Former lawmaker passes away

Services are set for former state Rep. David Huff of Lenexa who passed away Dec. 12. He was 83.

A former Lenexa city councilman, Huff served in the Kansas House for 10 years where he served as vice chair of the House tax committee.

During his time in the Legislature, the Republican lawmaker backed legislation that allowed Sunday liquor sales, kept gift cards from expiring and required drivers to  show proof of insurance before purchasing a car tag.

Huff is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; his three children . . .
