A former candidate for the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees and the Johnson County Commission was elected Thursday night to fill the House seat of the late John Resman.
Republican precinct committee leaders picked Mike Storm, who in 2024 unsuccessfully challenged incumbent Shirley Allenbrand for a seat on the Johnson County Commission.
He will serve out Resman's term representing the 121st House District, although he has filed to run for the seat.
Resman died suddenly at home on March 2.
