A bill expanding a program providing property tax rebates for seniors and disabled veterans whipped through the Senate on Wednesday with unanimous approval.

The Senate tax signed off on the legislation making more people eligible for a tax rebate program that was first made available in 2022.

The bill increases the income threshold for eligibility, boosts the value of eligible homes and exempts Social Security from counting toward the income limit established by the program.
