A Democratic Party leader from Olathe on Monday filed to run against Republican state Sen. Julia Lynn in 2020.

Stacey Knoell, a Democratic precinct committeewoman, named a treasurer for a Senate race in District 9 a couple weeks ago and filed to run on Monday.

Knoell appointed her treasurer on Oct. 19, a couple weeks before the Topeka newspaper reported conflict-of-interest questions related to a company Lynn  worked for that did business with the . . .
