Davids signs letter saying Trump investigations shouldn’t overshadow other issues

Congresswoman-elect Sharice Davids was among nearly four dozen freshman Democrats signing onto a letter saying the investigations of the president shouldn't supersede other issues such as health care, gun safety and criminal justice reform.

The freshly elected lawmaker from Johnson County was among 46 incoming lawmakers who signed the Dec. 3 letter sent to Democratic leadership.

The letter comes at a time as investigations into President Donald Trump are escalating, especially with the president's personal lawyer pleading guilty last week for lying to Congress.
