Congresswoman-elect Sharice Davids turned to a couple of familiar aides as her first staff hires.

Davids on Monday announced the hiring of Allison Teixeira Sulier as her chief of staff.

Sulier, who worked as a senior adviser for the Davids' campaign during the general election, will be the new congresswoman's chief of staff. Davids also named Danielle Hull Robinson as her district director.

Teixeira worked as communications director for Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota earlier this year.
