Democratic state Sen. Ethan Corson has won support from Lt. Gov. David Toland in his quest to win the party's nomination for Kansas governor.
Toland, who also doubles as the secretary of commerce, has been credited with the economic development successes during Gov. Laura Kelly's administration.
Kelly recently described Toland as the state's "eco/devo wonder boy," negotiating deals to bring the Kansas City Chiefs to Kansas as well as Panasonic, among others.
