Gov. Laura Kelly's press secretary Cassie Nichols is departing after serving nearly two years in that role.
Nichols, previously a reporter for KSNT TV in Topeka, is going to be the media relations manager at AMC Headquarters in the Kansas City area.
Her last day is Thursday.
Nichols will be replaced by Grace Hoge, who is now the communications coordinator in the governor’s office.
Hoge was an intern in the governor's office this past spring and recently returned to Kansas after interning at the White House this summer.
