Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer on Tuesday night named Salina commercial real estate executive Tracey Mann as his lieutenant governor and running mate for the upcoming governor's race.
Colyer said he turned to Mann because he was looking for someone who was a strong leader and "a go-getter." He wanted someone who was in touch with the challenges of the state's rural community, what he called the state's backbone.
