U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg came to Kansas on Wednesday to rally Democratic voters ahead of the general election in which Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly and U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids are fighting off energetic challenges.
Davids also brought U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh to the Kansas City suburbs Wednesday where he got a look at Johnson County Community College’s commercial driver’s license training program.
Appearing at a union hall in Kansas City's Fairfax industrial district before several hundred cheering supporters, Buttigieg sounded some of the same themes of Kelly's campaign for governor.
