A pair of former mayors are joining together to run for governor and lieutenant governor this year.
Democratic gubernatorial candidate and former Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer announced this morning that former Gardner Mayor Chris Morrow will be his running mate for lieutenant governor.
Morrow served as Gardner mayor from 2013 to 2018. He ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate against Republican incumbent Julia Lynn in 2016.
Now working in real estate, Morrow grew up in Roeland Park and is a graduate of Bishop Miege High School. He was elected to the Gardner City Council in 2011 before later becoming mayor.
Morrow also served in the Navy and lived in Florida before returning to the area. He has worked in the employment agency business. He and his wife have six children.
