Bonner Springs labor lawyer Brent Welder led all Democrats in first-quarter fundraising in the battle for the nomination to face Republican Congressman Kevin Yoder.
New reports filed over the weekend showed that Welder piled up about $240,000 in the quarter ending March 31. It brought to $497,000 the amount Welder has raised in the race for the Kansas 3rd Congressional District, including a $54,000 loan.
