The Kansas Bankers Association has named a new executive to lead its lobbying efforts at the state Capitol.
The KBA on Thursday named Kelly VanZwoll senior vice president of government relations.
The announcement was made after the organization announced Alex Orel was leaving to start his own lobbying firm.
She will direct the KBA’s advocacy efforts at the statehouse, representing the Kansas banking industry before the Legislature and state regulatory agencies.
VanZwoll will oversee BankPAC, KBA’s statewide political action committee, and manage the Bank . . .
