A state law requiring at least one member of the state cosmetology board to be an African-American could be vulnerable to a legal challenge, the state attorney general said in a new opinion.
Attorney General Kris Kobach said in an opinion that the law in question - enacted in 2002 - could present a "difficult task" to defend in court although he couldn't say for sure whether it was constitutional.
