Republicans were quick to get the first shot off in the race for Kansas attorney general.
A group affiliated with the Republican Attorneys General Association - once chaired by Republican incumbent Kris Kobach - opened the general election campaign with an ad targeting Mann's public service.
The Safer Kansas Fund, which shares the same address as the Republican Attorneys General Association, criticized Mann for missing a majority of meetings held by the Kansas Sentencing Commission.
