In recent days, Republican Johnson County businessman Philip Sarnecki has been stirring rumors that Senate President Ty Masterson wouldn't participate in this week's televised GOP debate in the governor's race.
It started Tuesday night with a social media post in which Sarnecki said he kept hearing that Masterson would not participate in a statewide televised debate set for Friday night at Johnson County Community College.
"That's no surprise. His record is an absolute disaster and he doesn't want to have to answer to the people," Sarnecki posted
He followed it up with a news release . . .
