Gov. Laura Kelly on Friday vetoed a bill that supporters say is intended to prevent state or local government officials from taking actions against crisis pregnancy centers that would force them to violate their pro-life beliefs.
"The people of Kansas have made it clear, time and time again, that they want government to stay out of women’s private medical decisions," Kelly said in a statement.
"That means we shouldn’t be spending tax dollars trying to interfere with that very personal, very private, medical decision," Kelly said . . .
