Retired Brig. Gen. Thomas Palenske, who until recently served as the 36th Wing commander in Guam, has filed to run as a Republican for the House seat held by the late state Rep. John Resman.
Palenske filed to run for the 121st District House seat, which Resman had represented from 2017 until his unexpected death last week.
“I have a deep passion for improving the lives of my fellow Kansans and want to give back to a state that has blessed our family with so much," Palenske said in a statement.
"In the Legislature I will prioritize fixing the property . . .
