A lawsuit has been filed challenging a new state law banning transgender people from using restrooms and locker rooms in government buildings that don’t correspond with their biological sex and requiring driver's licenses to reflect someone’s biological sex at birth.
Two transgender Kansans filed the complaint in Douglas County District Court. They call the law the most recent "in a shameful litany of statutes enacted by the Kansas Legislature meant to discriminate against and dehumanize transgender people . . .
