The Democratic field seeking the state Senate seat that came open with Mary Ware's resignation has apparently been narrowed to two candidates.
Grant Overstake, described as an award-winning author and journalist, announced Monday that he would not run for the Senate District 25 seat in Wichita.
"This was the right decision for me, my family, and the long-term work I’m committed to in our community," Overstake said in an email.
"I’m grateful to everyone who reached out, encouraged me, or offered support.
