The League of Women Voters has registered new citizens to vote at naturalization ceremonies in Kansas for years.

Whether those ceremonies have been held in Kansas City, Topeka, Wichita, Lawrence or even in Fort Scott, the league's members have attended those events, registering thousands of new citizens.

"Naturalization ceremonies are some of the most joyful events," said Cille King, former co-president of the Kansas League of Women Voters.
