A Republican political consultant is opposing President Donald Trump's nomination of lawyer Ryan Kriegshauser to serve as the state's top federal prosecutor, saying the tactics he used to defend his clients in an ethics commission investigation make him ill-suited for the job.
In a seven-page letter to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, Kris Van Meteren comes out against Kriegshauser's nomination for U.S. attorney and questioning the role legislative leaders played in the investigation's undoing.
