Missouri regulators sign off on Kansas gas plants

Missouri utility regulators have signed off on Evergy's proposal to build two natural gas plants in Kansas, a decision reached over in the Sunflower state early last month but is still being contested.

The Missouri Public Service Commission approved Evergy Missouri West's request to take a 50% ownership stake in the Kansas plants proposed for Reno and Sumner counties. The other half is owned by Evergy Central in Kansas.
