Danedri Herbert, a longtime aide to Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, emerged Saturday as the new chair of the Kansas Republican Party.
Herbert, a longtime conservative, and her slate of candidates defeated another slate that entered the race near the end and called itself The Great Kansas MAGA Slate.
Herbert’s slate of candidates included conservative radio talk show host Andy Hooser of Wichita, who was elected vice chair.
Amanda Schlyer, who serves as vice chair of the Ellis County Republican Party, was elected secretary.
