The Kansas Legislature moved swiftly Friday to override Gov. Laura Kelly's veto of a bill that supporters say is intended to prevent state or local government officials from taking actions against crisis pregnancy centers that would force them to violate their pro-life beliefs.
The governor's office announced the veto shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday, and by 9:30 p.m. the House and Senate had overridden the veto. The House voted for 87 . . .
